I have the Fuji XP30 and Panasonic TS25! They both work great for me. Like the pics they produce! Only problem I've had was condensation on lens do to having it in the warm sun and then putting it in the cool water! I keep it covered now!! :wink3::wink3:

Forget the shoe box camera, I mean GoPro.. Just because they spend all the money marketing doesn't make it the best.

For helmet-cam type video, the Contour camera is sweet. The Contour Roam is waterproof to 30 ft without a case. I think its $199..

For stills though, we have one of the shock proof, water proof, apocalypse proof Olympus cameras. Its great for those underwater bikini shots, as I have many.. :)

Go pros really aren't good under water. Unless you replace the lens on the water proof case the pics are distorted.

Definitely get a digital as the disposables are crap.

We too are looking at which waterproof camera to purchase, I normally go Nikon but don't think I will be doing on this occasion. I have narrowed it down to two both Olympus the TG-850 and the TG-3
