Well me and the misses haven't been to GP but TTR is hands down the place to be. We just can't seem to book anywhere else were hooked were going in July on our third 14 night trip and can't wait to get there. I'm 28 and the misses is 25 the age group is a vast mix, if there was ever a place that age didn't matter TTR is that place. The place is just to awesome to put into words the people and the party is just that good. :uk:

We've been to GP and TTR. I will say GP was a huge snooze. The crowd wasn't very friendly when we were there. Hardly anyone was topless which is no big deal to me. The food was okay at its best. The beach...is very pretty. The beach at TTR is not very nice your average beach here in Florida. The people at TTR are the best hands down. At TTR you party as much as you want and there is always the quiet pool. All in all I would chose TTR for the variety of the things you want to do.

I would compare elevator music to dance music. If you like elevator music, GP is the place for you. (And this has nothing to do with music!)

We have booked two resorts in one vacation through Expedia in the past. They have change the web site this year and that option is not there anymore. There was a selection for two destination. If you want to do this, I would think a simple phone call to whatever travel site you prefer would get it done.

We went to GP in 2011 and TTR 2012, 2013, 2014, and will be back in june 2015. For us is a no contest between the two. Yes the beach is prettier in GP, but when my wife and I travel solo, relaxing at the beach is the least of our priorities. I really don´t recall the food at GP, it was probably nice, but TTR restaurants are pretty good, specially the Asian and Italian.

We went to TTR 3 times one year and then went to GP just before Christmas to relax. Great resort although there was one thing that stood out as a huge deficit for me.... no swim up bar! Who doesn't have a swim up bar?

Wasn't really a good comparison as the week before Christmas was very, very slow. Great rooms, great service and overall top notch.

if you want to party and meet wonderful new people I'd say TTR any day.

We stayed at GP a couple of years ago. Loved the resort. Staff was awesome and food was good. Beach is amazing :) We don't have any complaints and enjoyed our vacation there. With that being said, the only reason we won't go back is because we enjoy the atmosphere at TTR more ;) The Tiki bar at night was fun but it is nothing like Paty O's. And at the time we were there, there were very few who went topless. We spent time off the resport while at GP.... at TTR we never leave the resort lol

I was going to reply about not having a swim up bar also. Huge advantage to TTR for that. The beach at GP is a more traditional beach with waves, etc.

We booked everything separate this year. Flights and two different resorts. Grand sunset princess and then TTR second. Used a transfer company to moves us around. Was a great vacation.
