There was a question about seasickness in the "Running Buffet" thread, but we figured it might get lost in all the discussion about, um, running buffets. So: MECLIZINE. (Not to be confused with mescaline!) There's your answer. It's a little pill that you take once per potentially dizzy day. Getting it in the States used to require a prescription, but now it's available over the counter. We're both easily susceptible to motion sickness, and meclizine has saved our asses multiple times: Cruise ships. Deep-sea fishing. The choppiest Boobs Cruise EVER. Go buy some at your local pharmacy. It's cheap. You're welcome.
I wear the lil patch behind my ear, it will last for 3 days. It also helps with feeling sick from over indulging with the drinks all day in the sexy pool. I always bring extras on the Boobs Cruise so no one has to be left out of the fun....Blondie
The patch Blondie mentioned is Scopolamine. It's prescription and it works amazingly. She gets car sick even on mildly twisty roads but the BC is no problem for her with the patch.
The patch also goes by Transderm Scop patch it really works for most people. I believe you can only get it with a prescription. It lasts 3 days and is put on the night before you need it.
You're kidding. Not only is it prescription only here but our insurance co-pay is $25 instead of most of things that are $7. How much do they cost in Canada?
