Mixing Temp/ DRM. TTR April 17-19, DRM April 19-24

hey , I just googled for 7 nights in June on Expedia, and i copied and pasted the results.

 

We went for a day pass in Jan.. and honestly what we seen wasn't what your describing.. however like I said it was just a day pass... and we would consider going again if it was free...or offered at the same price as TTR.. we don't consider it a step up just a different step.
We were really surprised by what you said about the beach... started wondering if we went to the same place.. the beach to us wasn't any better than what is at TTR.
We didn't find the food any better.. if not worse than TTR.
We do understand that for some people TTR can become same ole same ole, but what people don't seem to understand is TTR is for Newbie's.. there is nothing else like it and that is what appeals to people.. and for some people that go back it gets boring.. but its not really about us repeaters..
We go for the people..
And this is just our opinion !!

 

Hey Jordan. We remember you from back in April 2013! Hope all is well. We are converts also but to Pearl instead of RM. We are trying RM a couple weeks after you leave Anyway, sounds like we went down a similar path and agree with your thoughts, except maybe the part about the TTR room being a cell , we love both places for very different reasons, but these days we prefer Desire pearl for the reasons you mention. We hope we enjoy RM in May as much as we have enjoyed Pearl.

And Donald, you are right also. The VALUE of TTR can not be beat by Desire or anywhere. But in some cases value isn't priority one for all. And we have been twice and a third time in May and have never paid $500 or more for a regular room.

 

At least we'll get to spend 2 days with you guys. We'll just have to try and pack all the 7 days of fun we'd be having with you into 2 days. Well maybe not, we don't think our livers could handle it. :icon_razz:

 

Good to hear from you Kyle. To be honest, one of the big reasons we were willing to try DRM was due to your exhaustive trip reports on Pearl. I could tell that we had the same tastes and the little things that you mentioned about TTR represented the same sentiments that Tracy and I experienced there. I think the whole thing about the room feeling like a dungeon was just because we were starting to get a little home-sick and not wanting to be there anymore.

And I agree that the value of TTR cannot be beat by either DRM or Pearl. And thanks to the online shopping advice you gave in one of your Pearl TRs, we signed up for cheap tickets and used a 20% off voucher and our miles card. Sure we ended up investing more money into the vacation, but i feel we got a good deal over all.
