May Boobs Cruise Dates Announcement

We're planning to run cruises on the following dates in May 2015. June dates will be announced at the end of April

Saturday 23rd May - deposits open here
Thursday 28th May - deposits open 26th April

Each cruise will open up for deposits one month before (a day earlier if I am out on the boat). We always aim to open at 1pm Cancun time.

Each time a cruise opens a sign up thread will be posted and I'll link to it from here and from the relevant monthly roll call. Each cruise will need 25 deposits paid to reach confirmed status, and the maximum for each cruise is 95. If we don't reach confirmed status one week before the proposed date, then all deposits are refunded and the cruise is cancelled.

Rationale for chosen dates:

May is looking like it might surpass April as our busiest month this year. From the 5th until the 21st we have over 100 people at the resort on any one day and over 200 from 10th to 15th. Numbers tail off quite a bit after the 20th so we will run less frequently then.

I've learnt a lesson from April where I tried to run too many dates, it ended up people all went for the same dates leaving some cruises with a waiting list and other nearby dates with not enough to run - resulting in cancellations and merges which is a nightmare to administer.

So, for May, the objective is to run not quite as frequently but to aim for more than 70 people each trip (so we can use the bigger boat) but less than 95 so we are not sold out.

I assess the numbers from the roll calls and various other threads and they don't take account of:

- people who didn't add their dates to the roll call
- new people who join between now and the cruise date
- people who want to do more than one cruise
- couples who are also bringing friends (have been counted as two)
- folks staying at other hotels in Cancun
- people who predominantly hang out at the Cancuncare/TTR Facebook group
- people who book via our cancunboobsruise.com website
- email requests from people who don't publicly post anywhere.

So, it follows that my figures are probably a large underestimate of the actual number of people who will be in Cancun that have a connection with cancuncare in one way or another.

Lets see how interest in the dates above go, we may have to make tweaks as time progresses depending on interest and feedback.
