Hi everyone! Just looking for some advice or options for those who have been at TTR. With us visiting for a week, we will have to call home or face time home to the little ones. Can anyone advise on the best way to do this? Is their internet in the rooms? Is it strong enough for FaceTime? Any advice is appreciated! Can't wait! 21 days.....! Dawn
35 $ I think for a week. Strong enought for facetime but it may be laggy. I'LL Suggest to used skype instead. Depending on your room area the wifi is ok. try to not turn on your cellphone. Know fewfriend who had a package but they end up with a bill of 800$. Envoyé de mon SM-G900W8 en utilisant Tapatalk
I can't remember the exact amount from last year, $80 seems to be the amount for 10 days. We used it for FaceTime and it was great. At the time we had ATT on our phones, so we kept them in airplane mode, so we used the iPad's FaceTime over wifi to check on things back home. It worked better than expected.
We just got back and I can confirm it was $35 for the 6 days we were there. Worked fine for getting on my corporate VPN and checking emails. But would imagine that streaming movies might be slow. But why would you want to stream movies when you can be at the sexy pool?
Internet last week we found was very lacking in many areas of the resort. Went from fast to extremely laggy to dropped connections. But last week was also spring break and I dont think the system is set to handle it. We have had better speeds in our other visits.
Walk out onto the beach, go right , walk for 15mins to the pirate ships . Pay for a beer or two and get free WiFi ...DONE .
Can I ask, do you happen to know the name of this place? Or is it pretty in your face obvious with the pirate ships docked there? lol Would like to get there maybe after breakfast for a quick FaceTime with the kid and an early morning beer or something then walk back before the fun starts!
When you get to the pirate ships you cant walk any further . Fun in the sexy pool doesn't get going till after 10.30 11ish so if you had breakfast at a reasonable time you would be just fine and the walk will clear your head from the night before .
I have to have reliable internet service for work (yes, even on vacation). Gave up a few years ago trying to use hotel Wifi. Instead, I just use TelecomSquare :: Mobile Wifi $12.95 a day - unlimited data - they send it to you via FedEx the day before you leave and ask that you FedEx it back the day after you arrive home. Works great. Heck, I have even streamed movies over it. Lowers my worry quotient quite a bit.
I sure hope they are paying you well . Be a cold day in hell before I even check never mind answer a work related email etc while we are on vacation .
