Thank you jfor your service. I too served time in the military. What gets me all the time is when I hear, "Idont want my boy to join the service, he could get a better, safer job home." We thank goodness for the rest of us who provide your safety and freedoms. That are being pissed away!

Sometimes there are posts that just makes you stop and think and I just don't know what to say... I'm really sorry this happened to you, I'm angry and sad at the same time.
Thank you for your post and even though I'm Canadian Thank you for your service. This is another lesson about assumptions.

I was a Navy wife for 10 years and understand the sacrifices of soldiers and their families. THANK YOU for your service. I am also a cancer survivor and can tell you that there are a lot of ignorant people out there. I have many sad/angry stories of how I was treated during my illness.....I was once asked to leave a restaurant because how I looked (during chemo) made their customers uncomfortable. We can never change other people. Best you can do is to do exactly what you've done here....speak up and educate whenever you can. His ignorance has nothing to do with you. Keep doing you and good things will come. --Ginger

It's hearing these sort of things that makes you wonder what goes through some people's think pumpkins!

My grandpa fought in WW2 and he never talks about it. Other than when he smoked and go mad that he fought for his country but was told where he could and couldn't smoke..haha

Met a gentleman in the Mayan last January that lost his let fighting for our country. God bless all our vets in both Canada and the USA

That breaks my heart that someone would be so heartless as to ask someone to leave because of their cancer treatment ...God bless you!!
