We are spending the last two days of our vacation at the Hyatt Zilara. We figure we will need a vacation from the vacation before heading home. Apparently it's about 10 or 11 kms from TTR. Are taxi's safe and reliable for the transfer from TTR to the Hyatt?

    THX

I don't think you would have any problem with the taxi. I would also definitely check the rates at USA Transfers. They transfer hotel to hotel.

The taxis in that area are nothing you need to worry about

Basser if we could benefit from your leg work - please post the rate from USA Transfers. We are doing similar, 4 nights at TTR (arrive tomorrow!) and then 2 at Grand Parnasus on the big beach. Was actually going to just jump on the R1 bus with our bags for a buck...
    Thanks much

I'd check USA Transfers prices out first. also i've stayed at the Hyatt Zilara for a wedding. Its a top 3 resort in Cancun and its amazing. The food at TTR is better though in my opinion

Just grab the local Colectivo bus . someone at the resort will help direct you to the correct one and it will cost you less then 5$ for the pair of you .

There the small mini vans that say Colectivo on them , the locals all use them for shopping trips etc . We used them a couple of years back to get from Playa Del Carmen to Puerto Morelos . It took 1 bus transfer and was real easy and cost a couple of bucks each . Taxi would have been 25 $ each way .
Ask at the reception or the bell boys out front are usually really helpful (for a tip) where to wait and which bus to get to where your going .
