I have been to TTR twice and will be there with the BF in August. The last time I was there I wanted to wear a thong bathing suit but still didn't feel comfortable in my skin but by the end of the week I wish I had packed one. I am a thick girl and lately I have been concerned about my weight and wanting to cover everything up. But I am wondering for all the August goers will I be okay wearing a thong or will people take offence? Help please any thoughts will help!
Well, we're going in May (just did the arrangements today!!! ) But we can speak from experience - wear the thong! While I consider myself height and weight proportionate, I am by no means a fitness buff nor am I shredded (unlike some people claim to be. LOL ) But I decided to wear the smallest bathing suit I could find regardless of how I looked. Granted, I'm a man, but for some reason, its acceptable for women to wear tiny swimsuits or thongs, but not acceptable for a man to wear anything less than boardshorts. I said "no way!" and decided to wear the little bikini. I might even go smaller this time around. Mrs netcruizer99 felt the same as you, but I can tell you, she's gorgeous, and didn't regret wearing those wicked weasel thongs all week long - sans top. The only problem you'll have, is when you get back home and have to go back to wearing "regular" swimsuits. We hate them. Boardshorts take forever to dry out, she doesn't like the fit of regular swimsuits. Other than that TTR is the place to just tell yourself "screw it, I'm wearing this tiny thing!"
Nobody knows you and no one gives a shit! You take that thong and you wear it proudly I only wish we were there to see you and high five you If I can wear my tuxedo boxers with the mesh back you are very safe
I say go for it... (This is the Mrs..) I'm in the same boat as you... Currently trying to tone up and loose a couple. We will be there at the end of August. So I will buy one or two and have them just in case. It's great to have options. At least they don't take up much room in the suit case. Pack one or two just in case..
My advice? Get on Malibu Strings asap and order you some thongs!! I had never wore a thong or went topless until last October. Here we are planning our 2nd trip to TTR and we just placed another order on MS. lol! Temptation is the only place where no one judges you and every one accepts you for the true beauty that you are. I promise you, you will feel comfortable in your skin in no time! When are y'all going? We'll be there 8/5-12.

I attempt to wear something that pushes my personal boundaries every time I go ... and what better place then TTR - right!!! I'll chime in too! You are much younger than me but I'm not a small girl either! Being older I've realized we focus on our negatives much more than anyone notices! Sexiness is confidence..put that thong on and prance ! Have fun!
Let's start with the fact that you are beautiful. That in mind you should absolutely wear a thong and totally rock it! Having been there recently I can tell you that women in all sizes and colors wear all kinds of bottoms- but it isn't always the model bodies that I think (and many guys would agree) are the most beautiful. Like Deb3666 says, it's the confidence, ability to smile, have fun and being a great person that make you sexy. I agree that at TTR you should challenge yourself to wear something that pushes you limits. I did it no more than a week ago. I wore an XS female Reno 911 cop outfit (that Jodi and Lennie were kind enough to bestow on me) for uniform night. Did I look a little ridiculous and a little uncomfortable(was tight and short in all the wrong places)? Yup. But I was confident I could pull it off and turned out to be my best outfit of the trip. And everyone loved it. Rock that thong and have a great time.
