April is awsome so I hope you will give it a try sometime. Sad to see people not coming back again but to each his own. I hope you both find a place that makes you both happy.
We've never been and our first trip is in June, but I can imagine that the time of year had a lot to do with the "Spring Break" crowd/ages/immature creepers. Come in June with us! Give it a another go!
You will have a blast in June, I am a June Junkie and this will be my 5th trip. There is always ONE single guy that is annoying but never has "crossed the line" once you go numerous times you met so many people and you will have a blast. We keep in contact with a lot of people through out the year and just makes going that much more exciting. See ya in June!
