What is an appropriate tip for the greeter? I was thinking a couple $/bag. Worked out great for him when were were a large group. But this time there will only be 2 of us. What about the driver? $5, $10 ?

It really can be, plus they spend 1/2hr just loading the coaches if that's what you yet. Not a shill for USA Transfers but I really, really, really recommend them
I have used two different transfer companies in the past, both were probably about an hour trip. Like everyone said, we were always last, and they made 4-5 stops before. These were both in large vans. I have seen much large shuttles, and since they can fit more people, I bet they make more stops. So I would say there is a chance it could take that long. I haven't really had a problem with the drive. The driver normally has beer, so I drink several and ask various questions. The drivers have always been super friendly, and I learn new things about Mexican life all the time from them. Both of my drivers have spoken perfect English. My next trip though I will be doing the USA Transfers. For pretty much the same amount of money getting their much faster sounds great. Plus there is less awkward convo when the older ladies in your shuttle want to know all about your resort...and I have no problem telling them. They typically love hearing about it.
ok good advise thx. Already paid for a shared transfer so next time it will be USA for sure. Besides I would get a kick out of chatting with the old ladies. I haven't been able to embarrass one yet. Weeeeell once actually!!
In general here's what we tip, but it's of course up to you greeter - $2 usd or 30 peso /bag driver - $5 usd or 80 peso /couple each way
The worst is when some one gets caught up at the red light and you end up waiting for him , or t some one decides to take a cab and does not notify transfer company, and you end up waiting 45 minutes for them. Private is the way to go
