It wasnt strep or mono. You were just sick to your stomach that day because April and I were over on the island and not at TTR. Ha! Glad you got better though!

 

We didn't even know you were sick!

 

Glad that you got better...it is kind of scary when the doc asks you that would you like to feel better now or later, its like would you like to get high right away or after few hours (but what would you be getting is a bit scary, in this situation)

 

Wow Ang, I glad to hear it worked out for you and it's good to know that info but I'm really sorry to hear you had to go through all that in the first place. I had mono in college and I got it back a semester later and it lasted for months. Your recovery was amazing.

I never had Mono, but I heard how bad it is, and how not happy people are when they get it from you...supposedly. It was rumor in high school that i gave it to 13 different girls at the Friday night social. (not my fault, someone had it first)

You really need to be careful with the doctors in some of these countries. In March we were in Domincan and my wife had a terrible ear ache. Nothing soothed it so we went and saw the doctor. He wanted to mainline the antibiotics, an anti-inflamitory, an anti-nausiant and pain meds all together. Of course we absolutely refused and took antibiotic pills away with us instead with ear drops. He was not happy that we questioned this practice and assured us he hasn't had an issue in the year he has been a doctor...

When we returned home, my wife shared her story with the nurses she works with and all were horrified that this was even suggested.

Always be sure what they want to inject is actually safe.

 

Might sound like a stupid question Bob and Angela but what room were you in?

 

for $25.00 US you can walk across the street and see the doctor we were told also the medication at the pharmacy is really not that expense to buy so long as you know what you are getting.

 

But will he/she give you the shot... We've been sick before and had we known about this we wouldn't of suffered so long... (Is it open we were there middle of January and it was closed)
