Ben never control passport as he will don't know where he put it . I'm taking care of Passport and itinerary =D
Although we were there Halloween 2014 and both of our passports were expiring on January of 2015, and had no issues
My passport was due to expire Aug 31, 2015.. We will be at TTR Apr 3rd-13th. So today I sent my current passport with renewal paperwork overnight mail and included an Expedite Fee of $60 just to be sure there are no problems..... it would SUCK not being let into Mexico. It's not getting IN to Mexico that's the problem, that's easy and they are relaxed. It's getting back into USA that presents problems. I've had friends travel to Mexico on expired passports (no idea how they got on the plane but they did) and when coming back to USA, they ended up spending a LONG time at US Customs trying to re-enter the country and received a serious verbal lashing from officials. One of the BCP officers actually asked my friend if he was stupid..LOL.... As long as your passport is not expired, you can re-enter the USA. Period....
