Maybe we should all pitch in $5 for new dj equip. A "DJ fund"! I think another poster here said he is a pro, maybe he can hook us up with some low cost equip that can be donated with the catch that they have to play more variety!
there used to be weekly complaints about the music,, either people have gotten used to the crap or the DJ is better,, tend to go with the latter
It is better, but yeah bit from column A, bit from column B. There's not a chance in hell the DJ will play music from a guest's storage device. He has a tough job to please everyone, I just can't stand the spanish hour from 12 to 1am. It's to clear everyone out of the bar, but for those that want to stay until the end it's a real mood killer. Literally everyone just sits down and patiently waits until it's over. You have to rally through it because he switches back to playing good stuff 1am to 2am, and if you go to bed you miss it!
I dj for quite a few local events wedding/bdays and in January when it gets a bit boring around here. Tends to be 60's through to 90's, urgh, but its what people like, so if its Spanish/Pitbull/Nickthayer/Michel Telo, I'm going to be there all night as I don't get chance to play this much.
We think you might get to hear a bit of Pitbull! Here are the main tracks from last year that just remind of of the fun we had! Was Played Everywhere Sexy Pool Party Sexy Pool &feature=youtu.be Boobs Cruise Boobs Cruise First Song Played At Patyo's Every Night
www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5irTX82olg exactly the reason why I would'nt bring speakers, not everyone's taste, but do like a bit of Pitbull...........
I'm with you there...there's nothing worse than 60s thru 90s music. Anything falling under the 'classic rock' genre a buzz kill to me...but it's not going to cause me to leave the party. If I'm dancing, I want new stuff with energy...the stuff I work out to at home is what gets me moving - I like the music in Paty'Os mostly. I know the old music has a following, but it just brings down my energy.
We just returned from a week at TTR some nights the music was what the crowd wanted others it was crappy techno techno techno .... My lady in her best sweet English went to see the DJ and he asked if she had any requests ..." Yes she said .....turn this F?!$&ing crap off and put on some music that people can dance to " ...it worked the tunes changed and the crowd enjoyed the evening and several people thanked her for her polite request .:clappyinghappy::clappyinghappy:
