Last year when we went to TTR, the hot tub on the upper deck was not in working order. We had a couple cool nights and a hot tub would have been amazing. Does anyone know if the hot tub is normally up and running for use?
In Nov 2014, it was operational and being used regularly during the day. The week was not humid but was breezy, so was a bit cool when the clouds blocked the sunlight. So one day the hot tub was really warm and felt awesome, the other day it was cool and felt colder than stepping out of the pool. The knobs did not work so we could not adjust the temperature. Unsure if anyone used it after dark. It is small - fits 2 couples comfortably, 3 couples are a bit snug, but if snug is what you want, giv'er ! Hope this helps.
It was in use at night in late Nov/Early Dec last year as our friends were in in naked and were warned by the security staff. But as you said the buttons and knobs did not work. xx
We were in the hot tub with a few other couples at night and security booted us. It was around 2AM in late November. Dials were working. It was hot in more ways than one until we were kicked out.
Sam: That is not a commercial hot tub but one like you would have at home. If they drain it and refill every night, that could explain the range of temperatures. Those types of tubs only raise the temperature about 2°f per hour. The tap water is pretty warm there, but even if it is 80, it would take 10 hours to get to 100°f.
a/ It's a tight fit for 9 people. b/ It's a great way to learn the names of 7 people you've just met. c/ If the water isn't warm enough there's not much chance the knobs will work to satisfaction. d/ If the water isn't warm enough there's a good chance of getting poked in the eye, more than once if you're lucky. Carry on.
e/ when said people get out, the tub will be almost empty due to the water displaced and the splashing f/ the remaining water will be HOT
Just got back last night...hot tub was full of people and definitely warmer than the pools. BUT you will asked to get out once it is "night" time. We were in as the pool was closing down for the night and if I remember it was dark. Have fun.
