Cancun Airport Surcharge You may be right, when I last looked at T.C. a few weeks ago they had a big flag on their web page saying Cancun airport surcharge included in price but that now seems to have vanished, so without phoning not completely sure. Thom.Cook didn't mention the airport surcharge on either of our previous booking until we'd actually booked. !!!
We book are holiday last year and we had a letter in jan about it and we had to pay a extra £60 On top of the price of the holiday cost
I have zero accent. You will see when you meet me. However when drunk and speaking to british people I start using a pretty bad fake british accent by accident.

Something we got caught out on in 2012 when we first visited TTR. We done Chichen Itza and going down town and bought Lots of souvenirs because we thought it would be cheaper. HOW WRONG WAS WE!!!!!!! First of all we ended up paying an $80 fine at the airport because our bags were to heavy, then we found out the shops at the airport (which were brilliant) sold exactly the same souvenirs for the same price........ DOHHHHHHH. My advice, wait to buy your souvenirs at the airport and carry them on as hand luggage.
That's exactly what we do...buy souvenirs at airport. Main reason is I hate shopping in the markets there. I prefer the price tags on the item and not have to make deals with people who can't understand me and me not understand them.
