depends on where you are again its up to you waiters,, tip heavy the first round, and the last if the service was good bartenders,, every second or third round. breakfast,, tip goes up if they refill my coffee
We usually tip per round of drinks as the bartenders change throughout the day. I guess if they pool the tips it doesn't make a difference though. We sometimes do a bulk tip when we are in the pool.
Thanks for all the info guys. Helpful advise. In Australia it is not common to tip at all unless you are out to dinner and then you tip at the end or at some bars etc. Also our $ has fallen against the us$, so we need to plan for extra. Cheers Chez and Pete.
Thanks a bunch Great advise we have a much better understanding of what to expect now. Wednesday cannot come soon enough!
not my idea but has been shared on here before divide your tips up into envelopes , 1 for each day ,, that way you won't break the bank on a bender ( get drunk and over tip ) and you have some for every day
We ran into issues at Market 28 a guy will tell you he works at TTR come check out his shop.. we're dam polite Canadians and say ok... we don't even want to shop.. but off we go... have tequila.. have more tequila.. SOB sucked us in... don't believe them..Pretty sure buddy didn't or doesn't work at TTR, I looked he said he worked the front desk, they see your wrist band and know where your from.. With that said Isla Mujeres I recommend Mr. Opal and the silver place...can't remember the name.. but Steve would.. Great place to take jewelry to be fixed I had an opal ring and pearl ring fixed and couldn't be happier with price and quality.
We tip the bartenders usually after every round. Those guys hustle. Not only that, but they usually give me what I ask for, member or not. Just curious...how many people tip the maid staff at hotels in your home country?
