So obviously, we've heard all about how to pack our fun toys (remove batteries - ours don't seem to have removable batteries, but whatever, pack separately, etc), but I have a question about packing something like 5 hour energy. We were going to buy a box of 5he, and probably a few airplane bottles of titos for room cocktails. We know that there are food and beverage restrictions when going through customs, but the plan was to just pack everything into our checked bag. We should be okay as long as everything is factory sealed and not opened, correct? We just don't want our vacation to start with a red light and a hassle before we've even made it to USA Transfers.
Thanks for any info or tips.

We pack 5 hour in our checked bag. Never have had a problem. Any liquid that is over 3 oz. or you do not need until you get there should be in the checked bag. The red light is rare to get. Don't worry, Be happy.:xyxthumbs:

Same here. We've packed both in our checked bags with no problems. Always of course in a ziplock bag in case something decides to leak.

Yes we have also packed 5-hours, red bulls, and monsters in the checked bags, never had an issue.

If you are doing all that and bottles of booze, there could be more of a problem. I believe the booze limit is 2 bottles.

    Packing

I concur with all the above HOWEVER, the limit for packed alcohol is 100 proof.
Anything higher can be confiscated if detected.
It is flammable so not allowed unless shipped in a proper container.

This is normally not a problem unless you just have to have your Bacardi 150!

I bring a 1.5L bottle of Fireball all the times we go!

    Enjoy!!
