As many others have said.. This thread has run its course.. The devolution began when that poster made the thread about the persecution of newer forum members by the "old boys club" of those who've been been here longer. This thread is about the raw deal TTR laid on Jewels and Ingram. Nothing more.

I remember you guys from our trip in Dec. 2013. You both were fun and laid back and enjoyed yourselves appropriately. Sounds to me like security at TTR and the Police involved were working in tandom. I'm sure the money paid was split between them, the perp and security. It's a classic hustle.

 

I give credit to the defendant in this case for coming on and at least giving us the other side. I was not there therefore will not pick sides. Seems as if maybe both parties were partly in the wrong.

There are definitely lessons to be learned by all of this.

I also have to respect that he offered some money to them as well. Hopefully this can be water under the bridge and we can all take something positive from it

People should try to remember we're in a different country so reason doesn't always prevail, so always err on the side of caution. We steer clear of trouble, to the point that I remind my other half every year to not intervene, even if it involves friends of ours, because I know the blame sometimes lands on the biggest guy without reason, even if he's just trying to break up a fight, not cause it.

Whoever is right in this situation, let it be a lesson to us all that if someone gives you shit at TTR, don't try to solve it with physical contact in any way - walk away and if that doesn't work, go tell the staff to take them away. Problem solved.

Both people have said how things happened here, if either one of them had alerted security when things got serious it could've been avoided.
