F*ck You Temptations – Please Read!

You have to take online reviews with a big grain of salt. People that are upset are likely to leave overly negative reviews. Most people don't leave a review. Yelp and Amazon provide plenty of examples of worthless reviews. A 1 out of 5 star rating for a TV because of a shipping issue. A negative review because a restaurant was busy at lunch time. Trip Advisor seems to have a lot of people that expected a 5 star resort with a quiet relaxed atmosphere and are upset that they got something else.

Bad things happen all over. I've had plenty of great and bad experiences all over the US. Mexico is a different animal, but you are most likely going to be fine as long as you don't do something you aren't supposed to be doing. Just like in the US, however, you can be in the wrong place at the wrong time and get in trouble.

 

Hey guys...we just got home yesterday and this story is spreading like wild fire although the details are distorted as you can imagine. Not sure if you remember us from 2012, but what we remember of you...could not see either of you being physical. As for no one being arrested??? Were you not there the night the brawl broke out and the three guys were hauled off to jail from Paty-O's??...That was worthy of jail...but they let those three dudes back to the resort with the caveat they stay the hell away from the rest of us....So sorry this had to happen to you both...thinking of you...and best of luck...

We were there in 2012. These guys came into Patty O's and you could just tell they were going to be trouble. It was lingerie night and they were making fun of what some of the women were wearing. Me and Julie actually left at that point as you could just tell things were going to get bad.

What ended up happening is my friend went over and told them to chill out cause they were killing the vibe of the place. Two minutes later one of the guys threw a chair (the old steel ones) at my freind, missed, and hit my other buddies wife in the head. That pretty much started world war 3. We made the right choice leaving prior to any of this.

Anyhow, they kicked the 3 guys out and sent them to the Oasis, NO JAIL. Two days later all 3 of them appeared back at the pool bar, TTR let them back in. There was no further drama after that.

I'm blown away how we were treated after events like this have transpired with far less repercussions.

 

Very true. New Orleans can be very dicey if you are not careful. When we were at Temptation we never observed a single incident during our last 10 day trip.

 

I wasn't there and I don't know any of the parties involved, that said IMHO Temptation bungled the whole incident and they owe Ingram and Jules and they should apologize and offer some form of compensation. The Hotel staff is well aware of what a scam the Police are and should have never been called for an incident unless the involved parties requested it. It was just WRONG! Someone please post the hotel FB link to complain about the manner this incident was handled! YMMV

 

I think a lot of stories like this could be avoided if the offended party didnt get confrontational. Be direct in voicing your concerns to the guy being an asshole and if that doesn't solve it then go to hotel security. We are grown ups, no need to physically fight over words or looks.

That is a general comment not directed at the OP, just the resort in general. It has a sexy vibe, that is going to attract creepers (not many that I have come across but there have been a couple). Don't try to be billy badass or it could cost you your vacation, freedom, and a lot of money.

 

Thats screwed up the disparity in reaction.

Maybe you guys just had really bad luck with TTR.

 

Looking forward to it. Would be nice to get this one resolved.

 

This is a very atypical story. Never saw anything problematic when I was there twice.
