forget security. they dont have your best interest in mind. grab a bartender or waiter. they are working for your tips. they have a direct concern for their clients.

The moral of the story is tell the bartender or security before considering using hands. Only use hands if it is a genuine emergency where there is no other choice to defend yourself.

The drunk guy could argue that he was just "teasing" and didn't mean any harm. He can state that he was pushed first and then "assaulted" by her husband after he pushed her back.

He might have complained to the front desk and demanded to press charges.

The police might have decided he was assaulted first and that he was being "bullied" by her husband.

I have a few problems with this story:

    1) Drunk guy appears to have come up to your wife without knowing she was married. He appears to have hit on her. Was he aware she was married and uninterested?

She appeared to speak to the guy in a very humiliating and condescending tone by saying "Fuck off I'm married" in front of all the people at the pool bar. She should've responded "sorry I'm married" instead of being hostile UNLESS he wouldn't take NO for an answer after a significant amount of time.

You haven't really mentioned how she escalated to saying "Fuck off I'm married" instead of speaking in a nicer manner.

Why did she escalate the situation so much? Was this guy taking no for an answer after multiple attempts or did she just say "Fuck off" right away?

    2) Drunk dude appears humiliated and decides to get revenge by basically talking shit back to you and your wife.

Instead of calming the situation down or going to security, your wife appears to get belligerent back and pushes him without any physical provocation.

She appears to be escalating the conflict by getting physical.

Drunk dude appears to push back in self defense and possibly because he is further humiliated?

    3) Husband comes and "defends" wife by throwing drunk guy to the ground.

From this story, it really isn't clear who instigated this conflict. Your wife could've easily been more to blame than the drunk dude considering her very hostile response and her getting physical first.

The drunk guy complains to security about being assaulted by you and your wife.

This appears like an accurate assessment that he was assaulted. He might have wanted to press charges to save face.

Moral of the Story: Avoid confrontation and be "nice" if possible. If this isn't possible, go to the bartender or security and ask the person who is bothering you to be removed from your presence.

NEVER place hands on someone UNLESS its totally necessary.

Think this is a good lesson for everyone about how to defuse a situation without getting put in jail and being thrown out of the resort.

From my understanding, I have to side with the resort on this issue. The Mexican police appear very corrupt though.

Has nothing to do with being a tough guy. I actually cant fight my way out of a wet paper sack. But I would rather take an ass beating defending my wife and standing up for what is right rather than just sitting there being a victim. I would have done the same thing as you Ingram it sucks to be in your situation but really who the hell pushes a woman even if she pushed first. Right a coward fucktard that who does that.

White Knighting for a woman's bad behavior is a major reason for the decline of the Western world.

I would need to know more about the lead up towards yelling at the guy to "fuck off".

If the guy was being belligerent and still persisting despite her saying "Im sorry but I'm married", then she would have a case.

If her first response to the guy asking her out was "Fuck off I'm married" in front of everyone, then I can see how this could upset a drunk dude since it is a humiliating experience.

I can see why the Mexican police and staff don't immediately say "She's a woman, she must be right".

How do we know she wasn't the instigator in this conflict? We know she told him to "Fuck off" and she PUT HER HANDS on the "drunk dude" first.

Instigator or not if I saw someone push my wife it's game on right or wrong. And yet it would probably end up in me getting my ass kicked.

So you would support your wife cursing at some guy and then pushing him in an unprovoked manner?

Would you tell your wife to calm down or would you condone her behavior or support it?

Hopefully, you wouldn't have a wife who acts that way.

Unfortunately, I have seen plenty of women provoke and instigate fights before. I am not under the illusion that women are always "sugar and spice".

Prior to her being pushed absolutely. But after that hell no even if she was the one that fired first. If she would have pushed due and he did nothing in return I would have removed ourselves from the situation and started another day. Ye she was wrong for pushing him but my problem with this situation is a so called man pushed a girl you just don't do that. I am sure if he would have approached the husband and said he was sorry for being rude or what ever the situation was things would have been different. But that would have taken pride so that's why he did what he did.

Ingram I sure hope someone who was there comes forward to support your case and the hotel makes it right.

Coolcat - The guy was being degrading and rude. She's an attractive lady, this isn't the first time she's been hit on. She can handle herself quite well.

But there comes a time where enough is enough and dude needed to be told to back down. He persisted... She told him to fuck off and left to come stand next to me.

Drunk dude followed her over and started running his mouth.

Please don't spin this acting like she embarrassed and turned down some harmless guy who's just looking to meet a girl.

This was our 8th time at the resort, we've both encountered all sorts of pick ups and propositions over the years. We've never had someone not take no for an answer.

Who is this Coolcat? They have been on CCC for nearly a year, there are no pictures, they have no friends and there is no "about" info. Then they come on this thread and take "Devil's advocate" to a ludicrous level. It appears we have yet another troll in our midst.
