The Embassy can likely p;ut pressure on the resort that is why i mentioned them. The Embassy can put them on a list of Bad locations that can severely damage their ability to get people in there. They do not want the embassy angered. There is not much that can be done about the police but the resort should make this as right as possible on their end for poorly handling this form the get go. A couple should have been taken at their word over a single guy starting trouble and intoxicated.

Understood, but everything has a beginning. Was just trying to make a newbie feel more at ease and to point out that the "aftermath" does not happen if the initial incident is averted.

Why would the Embassy believe Ingram's version of the story? Not trying to be a smartass, but I just can't imagine they would just take his word for it. Even if they were to investigate, at this point there are no witnesses, and if they just look at hotel video, wouldn't they see that the first contact was made by Mrs. Ingram? Again, I have no reason to not believe your story, and it is a horrible story, I'm just voicing my thoughts.

Something doesn't compute. We saw an old guy and a kid fight. Nothing happened. You should have bought the timeshare.

Understand that part of my basis for responses on this is the fact that I am from Texas. I have been traveling across the border for 30 plus years. Hunting, diving, border runs, vacations, etc.

Over the years I had themisfortune to be in the position to participate in the coerced liberation (bribes) of friends, associates or clients that forgot where they were or what good behavior involves.

If you have only really traveled to the resort towns, you have a false sense of security about the way things operate in Mexico. It is less prevalent than it is in the border towns, but it still exists.

Once you land you just have to have the mindset that you are in another country with a rigged system if you get in any trouble. The rules you normally play by at home do not exist. Avoid trouble.

We was there 2 years ago and a group of single guys were getting pretty rowdy and started grabbing at my GF I just pulled the guy to the side and told him that I would really hurt him. About 10 minutes later his whole group came over about 8 of them and started to get in my shit. That's when I scooped the GF up and we left PatyO the next morning I reported this to the front desk and they assured us that it wouldn't happen again. That day those guys were thrown out.

    Wtf

Considering Steve vouched for the guy as being a good guy, I can't believe how many people are questionng the story, and not coming to more of a defense. I really don't see this as much as a Temptation thing, and more of a Mexico thing. I would bet it could happen anywhere.

    Bad deal for sure.

I agree if Steve said this guys solid then I trust the story to be true as he wrote. I really just hope that he chalks it up as a isolated incident and shitty trip and comes back eventually but if they don't I really don't blame them . Shit they have been to TTR 8 times.

Could be once the idiot went to the front desk and demanded police, it was out of TTR hands,,,,,,,,,,,,,,but,, why did they have to boot him when many others have not been booted for a lot worse? A lot of people are already weary about Mexican travel, this doesn't help.

We will find out the truth when the renovations start.
