F*ck You Temptations – Please Read!

I'm seriously bummed out by that...I met you both last May, and remember you to be about as chill and easy going as they come. I don't know what I'd do, but it's gotta be such a frustrating position to be in now and an even worse thing to have gone through on vacation. Unfortunately, Steve is probably right in that this is one of those helpless situations where neither of you deserved to have this happen, but now that it has, there's not much you can do legally...but hopefully Temptation can do something for you. I'm hoping we get a chance to have another drink together down the road.

 

An absolute shame what happened and VERY POORLY handled by management. Makes one wonder wtf was going was going through their heads (management's)...

I am not sure if many guests would have handled this differently though. Hind sight is 20 /20 in these situations. My spin on hind sight in this case since you wound up in jail is that "drunk single guy" should have gotten the shit kicked out of him...possibly at least making the jail time / $$ worth it in a perverse sense.

We have seen several fights at TTR that drew blood (getting hit with a bottle does that) and no security in sight...then minor shit that draws them out in riot gear. Doesn't make sense how this was handled!

I would completely understand if you chose not to return to TTR again and that is a shame as well since you obviously love going to TTR.

We had just left the pool when this happened! So I missed it all. I do know who the single guys were and I assure you they were not in it with the cops! They were just 3 single guys from Canada who happened to be drunk! I am not defending what he did by any means but I know there was no connection with the police.

Nothing like an obnoxious self righteous drunk who feels he has been wronged...and good people pay for it.

 

If someone were to bring harm to my wife, I am willing to die trying to protect her. That being said, the best thing to do, ESPECIALLY when out of the country, is to remove yourselves from the situation, go to security, and tattle like a schoolgirl.(this is even easier if it happens to be naughty school girl night!) It is their job to handle these situations, and I have seen them do it. Nobody will think any less of you for not getting into a physical altercation.

 

The problem with reporting to Security is none of the security speak a lick of English.

Three years ago we were at TTR with some couples and these french Canadian guys came up to a few of our wives at Patty-O's asking if they were prostitutes as they were interested.

We went to Security to tell them. They didn't have a clue what we were saying, just smiled and nodded, 'Yes.... Yes...' These guys don't budge unless something is going down.

 

Its hard to say what any one would do when a few drinks have been flowing, however caution may be the order of the day going forward. Sorry this happened to you, sucks to be in that scenario

 

We seen you there and always very nice and go lucky couple.Sorry to hear about this, definitely makes you think. Nobody has right to touch or ever push a lady. If a guy would have shoved my wife I would have done the same thing. I talked to another couple had a similar problem with single guy at patio bar trying to put her hands up her dress. The single males I talked to were very respectful, but maybe temptations need to lay the grounds rules to the bachelor parties at check in.

 

8 years visiting the resort and just tossed out, just don't sound right. Just had Char read this thread. Lesson learned. Thanks for sharing. Thankfully we've yet to run into anything remotely close to that idiot
