Getting quiet in here with people leaving. We touch down in Cancun at 11:30am and taking the regular shuttle. I know TTR is one of the last stops, but how long should we expect it to take to get through custom and to the resort? Where do you pack your toys; carry-on or baggage?
All depends on who you're shuttling with. If they have all north end of the hotel zone drop offs, they'll actually drop at TTR first. If their drops are scattered all over the hotel zone, then yes, you're last. An hour to an hour and half from landing should do it assuming that you don't hit a majorly busy time at the airport. But even if you do, the immigration chutes and baggage carousel usually go pretty quick. Sometimes customs gets backed up. I think the consensus on toys is checked luggage with no batteries in them.
