So....my flight leaves Boston at 6AM on Sunday. The big storm that was supposed to come Sunday has been moved up to Saturday to Sunday (uhhh...right when I'm flying out). OK...I'm a little nervous. Not the news is calling it a possible Blizzard? I know they like to sensationalize shit, but I'm losing my mind. The earliest my airline has a flight out is Wednesday, and I'm sure that would get worse if stuff starts getting cancelled. Ugh. I kinda wanna barf.
That kinda blows. Trying to escape to warm weather and winter won't let you. I say don't panic.. Just go to the airport and pretend it's Patio's
went through this in Jan with Sunwing 30 hours in flight delays . I try not to worry about things I can't control . It just sucks to be stuck in an airport. should try April,, no storms ( ussuallly) Have fun when you get there
OMFG. AND - if the flight gets cancelled, they just cancel the whole thing. It's not even like if I get myself to Myrtle Beach then I can take the rest of it. I'm about to lose my mind.
Yeah - if it get cancelled - the next flight out is Thursday. Thursday. It's hard to not worry about that one. MF Thursday.
We feel for you Roxie. Any way to change the flight to another day or airport, even if it means a change fee with the airline? It might mean leaving a little earlier but better to be in Mexico even if it is a discount hotel someplace rather than an airport.
The airline is small and doesn't have much of anything they can change it too. Looked at driving to NYC and other things. Just purchased a $250 flight that will get me in Mexico Saturday instead of Sunday....and I don't know where to stay. Ideas? TTR is booked.
Probably a good move. I know it is a little out of the way, but Playa Del Carmen is a great town to the south, and they've got plenty of nice little boutique hotels for the night where you could stay until your TTR reservation is ready. Grab the ADO bus out of the airport to Playa for around $12. We usually stay at a place called Hotel Cielo, but there are many small hotels to choose from. Others may have a nice recommendation for the Cancun area as well, but the only place we've stayed in Cancun in the last 5 years has been TTR. Best of luck!
? REALLY? Single female at TTR? I think you will be ok. Wing it! Main thing is get there...I think you are on the cruise the 14th. see you there.
If its just for one night, you might want to try the Cancun Comfort Inn Aeroport - less than $100 per night and free transfers from the airport to their property. There is also the Marriot Courtyard Areoport they also free transfers from the airport to their property.
