Yeah not a bad deal for me and my brothers lol. oh i know how much they paid for it as they bought it off someone else and got a great deal on it. so we only have to pay for air and AI fee's. they get a certain # of rooms a year also that they could rent out but they haven't really done unless they go down with friends.

I know a lot depends on airfare. Flying out of the Midwest, prime time in March, for two is usually about 2500 total, air included, usually 8 night. Take 900 for air, the room rate for two is very reasonable., about 200, or 100 each. Dang work got in the way this year. We always look for the best deal, the last few years orbitz was the best. Good luck on your search.

Yes it does ,,, people continually comparing boasting on how little they pay and not including their initial investment.

The person was bragging to the original poster on how little he paid , and not including the original investment his parents made.

I realize members (or Referrals) have a vested interest ($250 credit ) in getting people to take their Referrals , and even more it they end up purchasing ($500 credit ) , but its just wrong to misrepresent how much there paying for the week their staying there.

so I will point it out every time they do it .

I think its boiling Marshe ,lol

guess I just blew my chances for a referral ,lol

I'm not defending our last minute booking but posing a question or situation instead... Excluding airfare, by waiting until as close to trip date as possible the price should get better, no?

Its the 5th of March for example, you call to book for 6 7 8 and there are still open rooms. This is their last chance to book it. You call on March 5th and they are glad to have us at 150 - 250 a night.

From a business perspective, isn't it better to discount a room than have it go empty? That's always been our philosophy and we've always gotten good rates no matter where.

Airfare isn't a factor for us. I'll keep trying and keep you all informed. Nothing wrong with going a little later. We like March because it's Loli's birthday and there's some great springbreak scenery in March

as mentioned above , at this point a referral may be your cheapest bet

Ours is May 8-16 got the rooms and Air for about 143 per night per person. worked out to right at 1150 per person after everything. Cheaptickets.com was what we used this year, was about $400+ more for the total trip everywhere else.

Stacia & I just paid $49/night for our AI per night payment, so that's pretty good. Granted... we had to drop big change to get the membership, but that's now a very nice-looking decision, hey?

But, we've been LOTS of places (St. Martin, St. Barth's, Anguilla, St. Thomas, Virgin Gorda, Yost van Dike, Canada, Hawaii, other places in Mexico... Playa, Cabo... etc.

NO PLACE has anything like TTR. Even at $500 per night for a couple, to us it's worth it.

I mean, hell.... I've never been anywhere else that has Men's White Dress Shirt & Heels party night except my house, and most of you guys won't come if I throw such a party, so...

Last Oct we were looking at Feb-April, and prices were running in the $1600-1800 range w/air from DFW for 7 nights. Book early, early, early.
