Hello all. We now have liked out our first ever trip to Cancun and are going to be staying at Temptation. After having done a wealth of searching for info about the resort, we found this forum as well as quite a few photos of the resort and its patrons etc.

This leads us to a concern... The TTR website made it sound as if taking photos outside of the rooms was pretty much off limits. From what I have seen through a simple google search as well as on the TTR Facebook page, it doesn't seem that they are so strict about cameras. We are looking for information from folks who have been there about their experience with this.

Ultimately we are concerned about the chance of having our photos pop up online or on Facebook from our visit and this is somewhat unsettling for us.

Any info on this will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the type-O. We have "booked" our trip. Not "liked". Damn autocorrect.

Pictures outside the room are fine most of the time. Just make sure anyone in the photo are ok being photographed. Some contests they will only allow photos if you are in the contest though, IE you or the wife photographing each other.

    Edit--

Just saw your concern, that is not an issue there. We were concerned about the same things first time. The Google images are personal images of themselves most of the people posted. The security staff and entertainment staff keep a good eye on these kind of things to ensure we are all able to have a carefree good time without worrying about them popping back up at home.

You have stumbled upon one of the great forum subjects "camera policy at Temptation".

People are encouraged to limit camera usage to taking only photos of subjects that consent/know they are getting their photo taken.

You may wind up in the background of a photo, but you will probably not be prominent enough to be recognized. Additionally, if you are really worried about someone seeing you in a photo, then you have probably concealed to people you know that you are going to Temptation. With that premise, what are the chances that someone is going to be trolling the internet looking for photos of you in the background?

Like anywhere, be aware of your surroundings. If you see someone taking photos, turn your head, look down, etc. You will most likely be wearing sunglasses and a hat, do you really think someone is going to ID you in the background of some stranger's photo?

It is understandable to be concerned on first trip, but it is really not an issue. Camera use really is limited for the most part and most guests respect the fact that not everyone wants their fun to be recorded for posterity.

Go, have a good time and just don't jump in the middle of photo ops.

Thanks to all for the feedback and advice. We are definitely looking forward to the trip. We imagine it will be an experience like none other we have had. We usually go to Cabo San Lucas annually, but in the wake of hurricane Odile, we decided to give cabo break this year and hit Cancun. Figured we may as well stay at Temptation while we're there since it is an idea we have tossed around for some time. Can't wait to see what its all about first hand!

Do you mean that as far as it being your first trip to TTR? Or are you also regulars in Cabo San Lucas??

I think if someone is blatantly taking a picture of you, it is quiet obvious, but, you can go really to a lot of places and be topless and end up by accident in someone's picture. I don't see a problem of taking pics of your partner or with friends if everyone is happy about it, and really, how many people are going to post pics of random people on facebook. For us, this resort is in a mainstream travel agents so not an issue and we are respectful of other peoples privacy.

If you guys are looking to take some good pics. I recommend taking the Boobs Cruise ! It's a quite little boat ride over to the inland for lunch with a few drinks on the way !
