The wife and I did a trial membership first then upgraded to platinum. Not a bad deal. We are headed to TTR in July. Our cost of the plane tickets are twice as much as our resort price. Cool thing with our platinum membership is I get to have 4 beneficiaries our friends can have the same low prices as us.
Airfare is always expensive. You can make a day of travel and save a little by making multiple stops. Pm me and I can give you more details on membership perks.
No I am not a member I have read some of the contracts and spoken with lots of members. Bottom line is , how much you travel , and how good a negotiator you are on whether or not its good for you. So many different contracts out there you will get a lot of conflicting advice. If your interested go to a meeting and stay sober and see for yourself if this is best for you .,, and ask for more,, they always sweeten the pot . If you have never been there go on a referral and experience the benefits first hand , I,m sure a few people will oblige you.
We pay less than what a member would pay. One I wouldn't buy in with all the issues of the renovations, possible closing in the end no one actually knows what's going on. Having the perks is no big deal to us. We bring our on wine from home and buy our own beer at Walmart. This year we spent $2550 for 13 nights including airfare. Orbitz beats their prices every time. In the end you have decide what is best for you.
