we always went in april, but this year were looking at aug. we'll just sit in the pool more and order cold drinks all day
So the prevailing theme here seems to be that if you want to have fun at TTR no matter what the temperature, you just need to stay wet...
We have been to Cancun every month except June, and enjoyed our July trip the least of any. The temps were tolerable, and not really a lot of humidity, however the pools were so warm that they were not refreshing at all. I don't remember any bugs. We have also been to Florida in July, and Cancun will be much more comfortable in July than Florida.
Is it less hot in mid may then in mid Sept? It was way hot Sept (sorry I know my questions isn't about July)
Went last July. Pool was like a hot tub and PatyO was unbearably hot. I work outside in Texas and it was still uncomfortable even to me. Had a great time as usual, but it was hot. Pool was so hot we spent more time in the ocean than we ever have
Summers here in the midwest are perfect and we spend a lot of time on the lake so leaving to go to a sweltering hot destination makes zero sense for us. We love to travel to hotter spots when its fall and winter here. Makes the winters seem a little bit shorter.
