Does anyone have any suggestions for renewing wedding vows on the beach at TTR. We met with the wedding coordinator previously but we don't really see the value in using the resorts services for what they charge. Just looking for something simple and small but with maybe someone officiating the event. Any suggestions or feedback on what others have done there? Chino said he would do it on the boat but would really like the beach and Kim really wants to wear a dress she pick out for it.
Darn Rick and I will just miss you guys! Hope you both have a great time as also and on you vow renewal AWESOME!!
We are celebrating our 25th Anniversary on the 10th of February and were hoping to do the same thing. The resort doesn't seem to offer anything for just renewals, it's all for weddings, and is a little more than we wanted to spend. We were just looking for a simple ceremony and a chance to exchange new rings for the next 25 years together. Oh well, I guess it will be just the 2 of us, but everyone is more than welcome to celebrate with us on this day!!!
Curious - ordained in which denomination or religion for that matter. PM me if you don't want want to post it. I am not judging you. Like I stated: curious is all.
We had a wedding renewal at another resort and I doubt our 'minister' was anything more that a lady willing to be paid by the resort to read some lines in English. A actress really. If she was a real minister i would be suprised - not because she was a woman but because ours was a religious version and she didn't really know those words properly or their meaning spiritually. Since we didnt need a liences or official documentation the legitimacy of the minister didn't matter. You could get anyone to do that role by giving them a script to read. A friend could get an on line ordination to if that's really required. I am not down playing the renewal but just stating that the resorts version is more show than anything. You could plan something equally as meaningful for you without spending an inflated price offered by the resort. For us - it was only the two of us and we got it free with our higher end travel package. The resorts cost - a few decorations (they reuse hundreds of times) and a poor excuse for a minister.
We are getting married while we are there and just doing a vow renewal type ceremony we will get the official stuff down in the states, The price was like 1000 bucks and we will not have a wedding party coming so guess it will cover a dinner and cake maybe some flowers and a actress to read the lines it sounds a bit high but when she wants something she gets it. LOL
We were looking at it and TTR wants $850 just for a renewal ceremony and as I have been told - it is not much of a ceremony for that price.
