Funny and there were empty spots...LOL mention about the A/C, ours was working but I don't think to the standards others would want. We did have dinner on our anniversary in the Italian and we don't think there was any A/C Jeff did notice workers working on the roofs for days, we believe that they were working on the A/C. And that blue-tooth speaker did have it's own chair/lounger..
Amazing week... just what the doctor ordered... I know many say if you don't want to party don't fucking come to TTR... TTR is like a second home for us.. even though we didn't want to or feel like partying our vacation was what was needed for us. So for those who think TTR is nothing but a party, a very relaxing quiet time can happen, it's your vacation make it yours...:read:
Agreed, last April I got the flu a few days in and we had a few quiet days on the beach and early nights, it can be done! This April we're hoping for the opposite end of the spectrum
I know with the range of people there that you never gonna get music that will please everyone. Its more about the repartition of the music same songs day after day that's the main problem and would never force others to listen to my music I was hoping for was a maybe a night in nice shoes when its not being used so people have a choice. Would never put on a speaker by the pool that's just rude. Even just a set an hour maybe at the end so something different. Actually been a DJ for 20 years and played clubs on London and house music festivals in Spain, so bit more than thinking I am a DJ lol
Luv hearing this. I implied when lobbying for a guest DJ hour, that along with overzealous music fans/ DJ wannabees, there are actually many pro DJs who are in the crowd and may like an opportunity to play at the sexy pool. Differrnt environment and vibe than the norm. G Good for the crowd to experience, breaks the same old/same old, and gives house TTR djs something to learn from, and helping charity. A Win Win all around. You are another example of what I was envisioning. On a side note I also pushed for a guest talent night at PatyO's. There are some incredibly talented professionals in the crowd every week. The ents staff does nothing, to try to tap into the potentially awesome entertaining moments that could be extracted. A talent show on a tradionally slow night (Mondays) could be Gold some weeks! If not enough interest or entrants then go on with regular schedule which should b relegated to Plan B
Hey Marshe Thanks for the support and love your ideas. I normally never have a go at another DJ I know how hard it is to stand up there and try and entertain people and think TTR is the must be the one of the hardest gig because it is a massive range of tastes. If he was actually trying I would defend him to the hilt but its because he making no effort to do something different or new not playing the same songs everyday. I have got some contacts at the resort and hoping to get a night somehow fingers crossed
In november they had a band at pool one day and that was great, the house DJ not so good with requests, but they had a couple guest DJ's that brought some change, and a band one night. The violin dude.....just don't care for.
For a first timer, can someone clarify; Patyo's is an outside bar on the resort, right? They play music, and people can dance if they choose to? Coco Bongo is off resort, and there are EC led excursions to this bar if you wish? Hopefully I have this straight.
yeah you got it right but don't need to leave the resort the music might be a bit ropey but the company makes up for it
