I think he plays on a cassette players after 3 hours the tape finishes and he changes the side and it starts all over again, on a serious note I have no idea its all blurry for me.

Yea the music is my least favorite part of the place. It’s just a cycle all day every day of the same stuff, very little variation. I was there in Sept 2013 and 2014 and I wasn't pleased each time. I feel like out of a 7 day stay, there is maybe 2 days that better DJs come in and mix it up a bit. The house DJ always the same plays the same stuff. It may not even be their fault though, sometimes management makes decisions for DJs.

Drinking more isn't the solution for me. After the same song 3 times during the sexy pool, and then 3 times at night. I just don't want to drink and dance to it anymore.

You hit the nail on the head, they won't ever please everyone, with a wide-range of ages, there's tonnes of different tastes in music.

But they definitely need to mix up their playlist from night to night, at least the order. Even throw on a Songza playlist or something to break it up.

To tell the truth all the music sounded the same to me. I wouldn't have a clue who played what (band or singer) or which song was played when by the DJ. I don't listen to any of that music except at TTR. If someone were to change the music - I would ask that easy to dance music still be played. Besides that - I don't have an opinion on the music.

In October is was the same thing each night with the house dj. One night it was someone different. He took requests and was great until the 1-2am Mexican version of pop songs hour which in our opinion is an attempt to get people to go to bed.

Another reason we liked Pearl. No mix tape. Full songs. Always took requests. They even had a board by the pool where people could write songs they wanted to hear. And guess what, then they actually played them. I can even put up with a couple country songs I can't stand if it means I get to hear a couple of my favorite EDM tunes.

Just got back last week and music at patios and pool are 100x better than last time we were there in 2013. My major complaint at the end of our stay in 2013 on those surveys was all about the music. We called him DJ "press play". We became Nostradomis as we always new what the next song was going to be (good for winning bets for shots). and the selection was horrible.

Now to last week we were only there for four night but each was unique and good. Different Dj on Sunday then other 2 nights. And the band was awesome too. They now have a projector and mix music videos for the songs that were playing. Now I might have had a drink or 2 so don't hold me to it but each night seemed to have a different musical feel. With one night more hip hop/pop another night more rock/classics and another more of a pop/edm sound.

Also the music at the pool was noticeably better. He would play music to fit the mood of the pool. More mellow early in the day and then louder and more uptempo as the day/pool progressed. On a day when 30% of the people in the resorts were out on a booze cruise (boring one) he didn't blast music as the pool was a little quieter.

All in all we look forward to just as good music in June.

Last year in March they had a band or guest DJ most nights. In October, it was press play DJ! October of 2013 is too long ago to remember.

I did write that the music sucked at night on the survey when we checked out. Maybe if enough people indicated this they actually listened?
