Maybe the wrong question. We've never been to Desire so can't compare the two. And as others have mentioned, there is a pretty wide age range. Ignore the hostiles (especially the ass who tells you to check the message history for answers, which is hillarious given that I doubt there has been more than a handful of original topics on this forum in years). I think it's a pretty standard concern for those considering the resort the first time, especially when one member of the couple is trying to convince the other to agree. So first off, the politically correct disclaimer... At Tempation, you will likely find people fo different age groups mingling and having a good time. We certainly interact with everybody and we think our experiences have been enhanced because of this. With that said, at any given time, there's probably about 500 people at the resort. But since people are constantly checking out, and new guests checking in, if you stay a week, you may encounter upwards of 1000 people during a week long stay. As social as the people are, and as common as it is to interact a little with pretty much everybody you encounter, probably at the end of the week, you'll have settled into a group of 10, 20, or 50 that you spend most of your time with. And as much as the people of Temptation are anti-age discrimination, those groups you see around the resort will more than likely be in the same age groups. The 60 year olds will spend most of their time with other 60 year olds, and the late 20's to mid 30's crowd will spend most of their time with the same. So really the question isn't "what's the average age of Tempation?" but "Will I find a group of people I'll be comfortable spending time with?" and the answer is probably yes. Everything differs from week to week, and everybody I'm sure has their anecdotes that will dispute what I've just said. All this is "Generally speaking" stuff. Just go. You'll enjoy it.
What time do you leave? Our flight was suppose to get in at 10 am but now its 11am with the new time zone thingy. Hopefully with smooth sailing we arrive at the resort around 12-12:30. Sucks we miss eachother this time around but think about Halloween 2015
to add to this already great comment, have an open mind and you'll have a good time. Don't be afraid to hang with older or younger individuals and you'll have a blast! We wound up having a blast with people who were older than us as well as younger than us. Its amazing what happens when you bring a round of shots to the group, everyone eventually forgets anything about a generation gap.
I know when we go that everyone isn't "My age" but damn! Everyone feels "my age" no matter what year they were born. The crowd is the best and you won't be disappointed!
Best answer of this thread! These guys nailed it. The groups that you see around the resort might be based on age but other factors as well. Both times we've been in the past we have seen the fitness pros or the model groups and they do not hang out with anyone else, even if they are the same age group... Just saying... But with so many people there, if you are social enough you will find people that you feel comfortable around. Diversity is what makes this life so much fun!
Our group of six is in our 40s, but we look like we're in our 30s, drink like we're in our 20s, and behave like we're in our teens. And a few of us have the boob fixation of newborns.
