so just planning ahead of time have few questions for people who have been to Isla Mujeres on their own...we will be going to Isla Mujeres right from airport for one day (we are arriving one day early) 1. Can we drop off our luggage one day before our booking at TTR (do not want to bring that baggage with us), if so then who should we talk before hand? 2. In order if we can drop our luggage at TTR one day earlier, how would we get to the ferry that takes us to the Isla Mujeres for TTR (do we need to take a taxi or we can just walk)?
The problem with that is timing, we know few couples that we know from previous trip but how will we find them at TTR and if management will let us look around as well...
Don't know about luggage, you Should call or email TTR. we Did Isla Mujeres day trip last year had a great time. walk down left from doors about 10 minute walk. the ferry dock is there. buy a package with ferry and rental golf cart. once on island find the golf cart place and tour island allowed to drink beer in golf carts. stop by mango cafe great food. nice beach there as well. remember your Drivers licence you need to leave it as security deposit for golf carts. make Sure you return golf carts on time, last ferry back to main land is around 5:30pm. have fun!
Thanks for the info. I messaged TTR with no response I guess its going to take some time for them to respond.
I wouldnt recommend buying the ferry/golf cart package. The golf carts they give you are pieces of **it. I would recommend just getting your ferry ticket and getting a cart on the island. Theres a ton of rental spots a few blocks in from the ferry drop off point and they are a little cheaper and have way nicer carts. I would HIGHLY recommend Mango Cafe though, amazing! also Rubens over by North Beach is delicious also
Yes Maybe couple of days to respond. One of their websites has a live chat Person, but not Sure Which one.
We definitely would be getting our carts at the Island now, so many good restaurants people recommended we will try to at least try few authentic Mexican restaurants...
Be aware, this is if you walk out the front doors of TTR. If you walk along the beach (which we do), you have to turn right when you leave TTR.
