To be fair to op. I think we asked the same question our forst trip. It was not until we experienced it for ourselves that we truly understand that age was not a barrier at all. Being in our 30's we partied with 20 year olds to 70 year olds. And had a blast with them all
And was it your first post (top priority) on the day you registered on CCC? Did you feel a mid 40's crowd was told too old for you?
Not top priority but it was high up. We went to hedo and hated it. I felt like I was on an episode of grandmas gone wild so I was not looking for a repeat of that. Now that I went to TTR I can say it is a very different atmosphere and not as important. Hope that clears things up
9 Hedo is not for everyone....there are things that are wrong with it IMO. But age of crowd is not one of them. Grandma gone wild is not funny. you are never too old to party hard and have a good time. young at heart is all that matters and they are the best ppl to hang with.
Two years ago my first trip I was 30, and also had questions about the age range. However, I never knew of this site, and I just went at the resort blind based only on what I could piece together on trip advisor. My wife and I were on the younger side, but there were definably groups in their late 20s, early 30s. I am pretty sure not many were below 25. We went in mid - Sept both trips. But like everyone says, age really doesn't matter. The primary group I hung with was all over the place from 30-55. Lots of people do look and act much younger. It isn't really like a place with divided age groups, especially during the day at the sexy pool, and at night for dancing. Now since you did ask a specific question about the age difference between Temptation and Desire, I think, and I could be totally wrong, but younger crowd is thinner at Desire. One of the main reasons I think this is based on the cost. Desire is more money, and when I was in the mid-20s, I had a lot less cash for vacation. Also, it is a smaller resort. So inevitably there will be less younger people. At any rate, I think your chances of a younger could can be found at either place March/April because of spring break.
we were early 30's when we went to hedo and the average age was 50-60 there were only a handful close to our age. Grandma's gone wild was not a dig on older people. I was glad to see them still getting down and having fun. I told my wife we went there 20 years to early. My point to the entire thing is that I respect and understand where the Op was coming from. I think the first time visiting a place like this age is a concern.
Damn! Now I feel old, when was 40 older? LOL We both will be rockin 60 this year, Just try to keep up with the seasoned Pro"s!
Age will vary depending on what week you go. From our experience going first and second weeks of April, we would say people on their 20s and 60+ are the minority groups; with most falling in the 30 to 59 age range. Out of the 3 decades included in that group I would venture to say people in their 40s is the largest demographic. Age is the least of concerns at TTR, people party like Professionals, that's all that counts
At TTR, you will most likely end up meeting and partying with people of all ages and demographics, which you may never even consider at home. We have met and partied with everything from cowboys, to bikers, to airline pilots, lawyers, college students, cops, and financial analyst..... OF ALL AGES. They were all cool people. Just shows you that fun people are fun people. At TTR, everybody is young!! Having said all that, I do understand the human nature fact of young people wanting to hangout with young people. I vaguely remember those days. lol Average TTR age Id say is 35-55
