    My carry on is always a shoes only bag. Poor hubby got picked for a pre-flight bag check on our way home from our 1st trip. When the lady opened the bag full of shoes, she started laughing. :icon_mrgreen:

    great list, we added a bungee cord and a collapsible cooler to our list (staying one day at Isla Mujeres)

    yes bring one ( cord), and we get a pack of ass't seal-able bags/vacuum bags at walmart

    we put all our clothes in the large one ( its the size of the checked).

    we had our luggage soaked with jet fuel once, luckly it was on the way home.

    Real essentials are your sense of humor and adventure and the willingness to accept people having fun around you. Even if it's more sexual than your used to! Not minding people being topless helps as no one is going cover up if your uncomfortable about it. You will probably pack most of the normal things anyway.
