No one will be thanking you at the sexy pool.

About the only time it would be welcome is about 3am at PatyOs or on the beach or at sports pool.

At NYE there was 8, 20-something dudes from S. America who were a good bunch.
But they brought a speaker to the pool, to play it while they spent hours playing beer pong.
of course they couldn't hear it and kept turning it up, only to piss off others who were getting both their music and the resorts' clashing.
After 2 afternoons of this, they realized to just bring out pong raft and leave the speaker in the room.

Last year this guy thought he would be ''cool'' by bringing his Bose mini speakers to the sexy pool.( morning music and early afternoon before they crank it up at the resort speakers)
He/they would sit in one of the cold pool Jacuzzi with the speaker aimed at them.

thing is any one sitting in the pool side loungers can hear both his and the resorts music at the same time, very very freaken annoying.
You can't make out either sound and it become NOISE.

There have been good uses for said small speakers, between 2 to 5 am at patios, sometimes they shut the music off.

    or at the beach

I have one and leave it in the room., not much use for it outside the room

get some head phones if you really want to listen to ''your'' music

So,, I , people have shared my issues with your post :)

I love the way you get people to post outside the box

    Thanks
When I saw those dudes at NYE, I thought of that guy you are talkin about from last year, Donald.

Of course there is the guy who brings an old school ghetto blaster (circa 1990) and parks it on Diego's bar. Thing must weigh 20lbs and takes up 2 stools. When he detachs the speakers and fully spreads them out it is quite a ducky sight. And I long for episodes of Growing Pains.

Shake my head wonderin where ppl get the idea to bring their music to the Sexy Pool?
Guess like you say Donald......they think they gonna B the 'cool' musicman of the resort.
but they just stick out as newbies

ya, there was another guy with a Bose at the sexy pool and it was very annoying. We like to bring for the room though. Something to listen to while getting ready at night.

Everyone will have different tastes in music...I actually like what they play around the pool. The one thing I can't listen to is classic rock...hearing the same songs I heard in high school is like nails on a chalkboard to me. My playlist is basically the same as an average 16 year old high school girl, though so I know I'm an odd duck.

    Bluetooth

Hotel music is NOT crap, just different than what you might like.
Let the resort be in the music business.

Please leave it in the room or there might be problems from other guest!

So what you are all saying then is that I should bring my speaker down to the sexy pool
Don't they play the same music every day?
Maybe the music is better than at vanilla resorts
I'll be curious to hear the selection

Was that a typo or are you joking? To be as clear as possible: Playing your own music at the pool would be extremely rude. It doesn't matter what the resort is playing.
