I'll have to agree that the best way is to not accept the invite and just bring your own bottle of tequila.....

LOL - that's perfect! I may have to use that line elsewhere as well.

 

You just need to tell them NO upfront when they try to get you right at check-in, that has always ended it right there for us, they never call or bothered us again.

But if you lead them on and say you will go to it and don't show up they will call you every morning, and stop you every time you try to leave the resort.
