We always try to get a room on the bottom floor right by Paty O's. On one side your real close to the sexy pool and it's great for using the bathroom during the day. On the other side you are close to the sports pool which is great at 3-4am when we are cooling off after partying all night. The noise is not a problem. If your in your room before 2am you better not be sleeping anyway.......:69:
We had a room last year that was at Paty'Os and we were very concerned. We had thought about asking for a new room right away, but were in too much of hurry to make it down to the sexy pool. After the first night, it dawned on us that we usually close down Paty'Os so there was no problem. It actually turned out to be convenient to have the room so close the night time party. Tom & Lorie
So is April going to be a knock down drag out fight to actually get a room by Paty O's lol. . When we checked in last year the look on the gal's face was priceless when we she told us she had a room ready by the quiet pool and we asked if she had a room above Paty O's
See now I (Lisa) hated being in the 5000 block. I love to sleep and am a very light sleeper. Our first year we had a room overlooking the quiet pool and I loved it, beautiful view etc. the next trip in the 5000 and I hated it, our room had little bugs that reminded me of tiny ants, there was no view and we had to hike up like 3/4 sets of stairs. though it was close to the sexy pool. Last year we were around Paty O's and I thought I was going to HATE it. I told the guy we would most likely be coming back the next morning to change rooms but it really wasnt that bad because like most have said you spend most of your time down there anyhow and not in your room. It was easy to run up to when needing something etc.
We had a problem with bugs to but it was our own fault! Can't leave open food or almost empty drinks in your room. It doesn't take much to attract the critters. It is also incredible how fast the bugs appear. We cleaned up and solved the problem. Next trip we are going to be much more careful!
We just had our first trip to TTR. Our room was in the 2000 block facing Paty O's. We had a long day of travel when we first arrived and we wanted to get some sleep. The music wasn't to bad around 9:00 so we thought well if its going to be like this when we should be able to sleep. Not so much.. as the night progressed the music kept getting louder so instead of trying to sleep we stayed up and mingled with people. I am glad we stayed because we had fun at Paty O's and usually stayed up even after the music was done playing.
We just got back from our 7 nights at TTR and requested a room in the 2000 block when we arrive just to see how loud it actually was. We ended up with 2216: second floor end unit that overlooks the Sexy Pool and you can actually see some of the water beyond the beach. Our first night there we thought it was loud when we got back from dinner and were changing, but as the party ramped up we realized just how loud it could get. We were ok with it though as the music does stop eventually. Like others have said, it provides you with a wake-up call from napping, or if you don't wake up from it, you should probably stay in bed for the night! (This may or may not have happened). Also, if you don't like it after one night, providing the resort isn't fully booked, they will be happy to move your room to a quieter area.
On our first trip, we had a room on the ground floor by PatyO's and we were hesitant at first but we figured we'd be up partying regardless so we were fine to try it. After staying there, I don't think I'd want to stay anywhere else. It's so convenient and most times you're out til the music stops regardless.
