Hello Everyone. So a long time ago, I posted this thread and thought I should repost it with a few additional comments. The main reason is I have seen some posts lately about the negativity and uncertainty that I hope to clarify and advise of a few things. So, after becoming a Cancun Care member and a Temptation Resort Member (RCI), I thought I would share some things with people that are considering TTR for their first vacation destination. When Bob & I were performing searches on line, we truly wanted a vacation with these items in mind: Adults only, bars that stayed open past 5pm, different options for dining, fun activities and topless optional. I will tell you from my personal perspective, prior to going, I was a little concerned with how it was going to be after reading some of the TTR reviews and trip advisors reports. Clearly, some were not favorable, but I think the resort was just not for them. Or there were reports that just didn't make sense. I didn’t really know what to expect and didn’t not want to turn it into something I wouldn’t be comfortable with. At one point, I was like, uh honey are taking us to a porn convention? Lol. But once we got there, it was not like that at all. Now, there are couples that like to swing with others. That is their choice and their vacation. It is not slammed in your face and filled with at the resort by any means. It does happen but not in the common areas. Our first trip really was a great time !!!! In fact, it was so great, we became members. Whenever we have booked All Inclusive resorts in the past, there is always the concerning fact of having to have to deal with that dreaded Time Share presentation. For what it is worth, we are greatly pleased. Anyway, the resort was lots of fun. Bars stay open all night, food was great. Vacationers can choose whether to be involved with everything, some things, or sit back and watch. Quiet to noisy, so many different experiences. Three pools- Activity (Sexy) Pool, Relaxed Pool and the Sports Pool. They have many activities pool side. The beaches are beautiful and relaxing. You can get massages, take tour trips, etc. You can be in the quiet section, medium or high level part of the hotel. Every day they have a special poolside activity planned that you can participate or just watch and laugh with others. No children, must be 21 years or older. The resort is topless optional by the pools/beach. You will see many types of women that are comfortable with their body and some that are not. It is a preference thing. The topless option really is not a big deal as some may think. Everyone just walks through and does their thing. They discourage anyone trying to make it anything more than that. In fact, one couple was asked to leave the pool area because they were trying to be too risqué. No cameras or videos are allowed in the pool area, with an exception. If there is some random person taking pictures of you and you don't know or wish for that to happen, simply say so. When taking pictures of people you know, be reminded that there may be some topless lady in the background that may not want to be seen in a pic. Perhaps because of their profession, children, whatever the reason, it needs to be respected. Restaurants require clothing, so you won’t see a pair of naked boobies at the dinner table or breakfast table. Bob & I would start our day out on our balcony with coffee watching the ocean. Go to Breakfast, go to the pool, alone time in the room. Hang out for the day with new friends, etc.. Whatever you choose, remember it is your vacation to enjoy as you wish. In the evening, there is a dress code. For example, men are required to wear collared shirts and dress shorts or pants in some of the restaurants. Evening time, this is a big hit. Everyone gets dressed up- it really is nice. Beautiful couples, ladies dressed in wonderful dress attire. The rooms were nice with coffee pots, Corona, Coke, Diet Coke or Water; they made sure it was stocked daily. We like to bring treats along with tips for our Housekeeper. She does an amazing job and is so appreciated by us. The Patty O’ lounge is a super hit! The bartenders are AMAZING. Our site has a picture of Pedro- Our personal favorite!!!!!!! Also, making dinner reservations is good idea. They only require them for the Asian and Italian Restaurant. A great suggestion is when making your reservation, make it for two more. You never know when you might meet another couple that you would like to have dinner with. We met some very nice couples there, ranging from 25 to 65. In fact, I think this is our (8th?) trip. We have gone there for the past several trips in Feb & Oct with friends from our first trip. We get to meet again one to two times a year with repeat friends and couldn't be more excited. You know who you are- Love ya ! Everyone has treated us wonderfully and grandly welcomes us every time we return. Regarding Busses and Cabs…You can take the bus, (I think it is R2?) anywhere throughout the hotel zone for around a $1.00 U.S., each way. Cabs are also available to take you wherever you want to go. Just make sure to discuss the price and confirm, you can also barter. With respects to the comments written about alley ways and so on. Keep this in mind. Trouble can happen anywhere, any time. In your hometown, you may not consider to go to a bad side of town, late night. Same applies in Cancun. You wouldn’t do it there either. Additionally, for those of you that were noted at the beginning who have been to TTR and were disappointed, I am very sorry and truly hope that you will find a resort to your liking. In the meantime, consider the fact that your opinion does matter; however, not here in a derogatory way. I hope this thread was helpful to those considering this resort, if you are good with the posting, you won't be disappointed. Cheers ! Ang :lotsofmichaelfs:
