    Beavers

So I looked it up on Wikipedia and its surprising what you learn
Wikipedia : Gushing Beaver , Thought to of become extinct in the eighteenth century a colony of Gushing Beavers were discovered in the mid 1990's , after a prolonged breeding programme they have been introduced back into the wild and have bred successfully with other Beaver Species . It is not easy to recognise a 'Gushing Beaver ' and sometimes the genetics lay hidden for many years , But many owners of 'Beavers' get the surprise of their lifes when they discover they have a 'Gusher' in their genetics[/QUOTE]

You completely misssed the Canadian Peltless Beaver. It has grown in numbers over the last 20 years, and far outnumbers it's cousin, the pelted beaver. In fact, A recent survey noted pelted beavers are ont he endangered species List.

I'm afraid I'm going to miss what sounds like an amazing seminar - one that would likely allow me to tax deduct the vacation for continuing education credits......

I will say, Dr. Hitachi has taught me a tremendous amount about the topic in recent years (especially that rare gushing beaver - he's a specialist). I would recommend one of those seminars as well to anyone.

An old wise professor of Beaverology once told me that “You should eat it when it’s young, because when it gets older, it looks like it could eat you”.

I have applied for a Ohio fur takers permit and hoping it will arrive before my wife and I get to TTR by the 2/7. It’s been a long and cold winter here and the pelts are getting thick and wild. Hope to see you all at class.

Hoping we cover the art of field dressing and cleaning the bushy beaver before consumption.
We have yet to come across this species, but we could really use this info in case we do!
