From Ottawa you should try to ask them if you can have a layover in Toronto. Having a lay over in the US and going to cancun is really not.cool as you need to pass twice the security and checking your baguage twice 2. ( im grom right accross ottawa and flew out quite a few time.to the us with a layover.
we have our booking with American Airlines, therefore, I am guessing all our layovers would be in US. Last year we had direct flight to Cancun but returning flight we had a layover in US but we received our luggage at Ottawa airport not in US...so we had to go thru customs once
Strange. Because i left from ottawa to go to minneapolis I pass the custom in ottawa and twice the security. To come back I had to go threw security twice. and They had us to check our baggage twice. Didn't make the same miatake twice lol. I book via redtag anyways, all the way canada to cun with a nice flight . No overnight nothi g and with 8 hours travel total.
I agree with a few of the other people on here who said to fly into Cancun on the rescheduled day, stay at a budget motel ($100) and even go out and party, you won't care about your hotel at all. Then show up at Temptation as early as you can on first 'real' day, you will have all the same privileges as someone who checks in at 8pm that day. I would consider that 'winning'.
Did you try to cancel the hole trip and rebook it ? the hotel discount would then applie tio the extra night theres also Alpha rooms
I did not thought about that but for sure look into it...maybe I will be able to get a better price from somewhere else (although I doubt it as the prices are crazy high around our time, next year we will try April or Feb look like lots of fun people
The reason we never fly American. Trip from hell would have had us in Chicago at 2:30 am with out any notice from Airline. We checked the night before and saw it. Spent hours on the phone and ended up losing a day in Cancun to Denver. Pissed us off for life. If it not direct we're not going.

I hope that does not happen to us...because I wont be very happy traveler, I tend to get rude, loud and gather a big crowd around me when I am in the right...I am the nightmare of customer service agents (I hope it does not get to that point and telling them politely few times work the magic)
Lol I call bell canada for the 20th times and I was so mad at their poor customer service she hang out on me. I call back and I told the guy : whoever I was talking woth it's a freakin b*tch and she's lucky that i don't have her name. !! Ben don't like to bring me out. Costco sunday. I have a grocery cart full and ben too they was a girl that was in the middle of the way and she was blocking everyone too pass. I just say enough loud : SHE'S COMPLETLY NOT IN THE WAY. WHO THE FUCK SHE THINK SHE IS TO TAKE ALL THE SPACE HERE. Was a couple right by me they look at me theb at the girl and start laugnin at her. Lol
