suggestion for HnH 2016???

A side topic about impending TTR shutdown.

If the hotel is closed for renos in 2016, we would need to try to find another place.
I was checking out some stuff.
came across
Desire Copacabana Hotel and Suites in Costa Rica.

seems like a possible option to move core HnH there for a year.

We would take it over and make our own rules and entertainment.
We would need to fill 38 rooms with HnH.

Anyone have any knowledge on this resort?
Anyone interested in considring it?
It is 20 months away I know....but planning and executing takes time.

Plz post any and all thoughts

 

We would be interested! We have been wanting to go to CR...this would be a great reason to do it!

We would be up for it. Does it look like the renovations are a definite go?.

 

I am hearing 2016 is definitely up in the air. May hear more next month when we return.

So I was told On Friday.....the latest plan is TTR won't be closing during reconstruction. (Just like DesireRM did last summer with pool and swimup bar installation)
They will work around it and do it in phases.

The timetable schedule will impact Halloween 2016 and very likely we will be impacted by a construction zone. Difficult to predict what portion of resort will be off-limits by then.
But the project should be nearing completion by Oct/Nov.

Therefore, we can still plan on HnH 2016, but there will be less rooms available due to renos, and some areas may be No Go zones.
Or we can plan a very special Hotel takeover somewhere else for 2016.

Personally, our Plan B is, we are thinking of trying Copcabana in Jaco, CR at this point, and avoiding the potentially disappointing pitfalls at TTR at that time.

Of course, as always, there is the chance that reno is postponed until 2017.
Afterall it is TTR we are talking about.

So with that scenario is everyone willing to stick with a reduced, encumbered Temptation or take the plunge with an HnH group takeover of a small Hotel?
