I don't have any clue how to go about selling it or what they are selling them for now so I don't have any idea. If we have to take a huge loss to sell it, we are better off keeping it in the event we can use it eventually. I'm pretty sure we paid WAY too much since we hadn't spoken to any members before going to the presentation so we didn't know what kind of price to seek. We just knew it was WAY less than timeshare presentations we'd been to in the States. I'm assuming that's part of how they get people. We NEVER say yes to that stuff but it was our first trip without kids in 10 years so we were overly excited.
well I'm sorry you guys got tricked into it. I think some of the best advice I read prior to going to temptations was to avoid the timeshare people. Extra benefits you get being a premier member it's hardly worth the price. With sites like alpharooms and cheap tickets I'm able to go for 12 days with airfare for around 3000 dollars that is for two people it would take many years of multiple trips to make the timeshare worth my while. When we were there the premiere only member area was empty because all the fun either in the pool or one of the small pools. Hope everything works out for you and hope to see you
It may work for some but I dint think so for most. Our last trip we talked to s few members and our top was cheaper than their premier price. You also have to take into account of up front cost and yearly fees. For it to work for me I would need to go 4 times a year for many years. I'm not knocking anyone who has one. If it works for you then that is great. My only point is that they suck more people who it does not work for. They are also sneaky with their small print. Most timeshares are like this. They are out to make money and some get better deals than others. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Know anyone that wants to buy it then? I'm not sure that we will be able to get back to Cancun for several years so it's definitely not giving us our money's worth. Correction - apparently, we got 28 free days, not 2 weeks. Not sure why I was only remembering 2 weeks. Maybe because that was the referral weeks we got?? Anyway, we haven't used any of them. But, again, I'm pretty sure we paid too much for it and we would have to sell it for what we still owe or very close to and I'm not sure what that is. Probably around $7k. [Amount owed - Another correction - I forgot we paid a decent amount down payment. So, as much as I hate to just throw that money away, it may be worth my sanity since I stress about this membership almost daily (that's why I've been absent from the forum for so long - not feeling warm and fuzzy about TTR and I always tried to be the "ray of sunshine" on here, not Debbie Downer).] I had wanted to try to hold it until after renovations, in the event membership sky rocketed, but I just don't think that's financially feasible for us to do.
I hope someone who wants one will buy from you guys. Best of luck Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
