The last two years I've done stints of approximately 3 weeks. I think that has aged me 10 years on its own lol! But yes the longer you go you need to take time to chill out for a day here and there, otherwise you'd die surely!
I did 4 trip total since 2012 in cancun. 7 days not enought,for excursion or activity if you stay in a boring resort is perfect. 10 days it's perfect if you're at TTR. you can miss out 1 -2 days to go to your own. we usually need 1-2 days to feel like we are in vacation and the last day to relax. ( don't want to be hangover in the plane ). 14 days will be too much for us as after 8-9 days my body tell me .. I need to get some rest. SO at least if you're staing there 14 days you can go explore the isla or playa del carmen
Well worth going to Desire if you can. It is more expensive and more sophisticated for it. They still have games and theme nights. Know what you mean about 14 days. 10 days is perfect for us. 7 is not long enough particularly after such a long flight across the pond. We tried to book 10 nights this year but, bizarrely, got a cheaper deal on 14. Oh well suppose we'll just have to suffer it!!
We also got a cheaper deal for 14 nights instead of originally proposed 10 night holiday and agree we loose a day flying across the pond.
The trouble is if you try to split your trip, you won't be buying a 'package' from eg.Thomas Cook, then you will have to pay TTRs room rate directly or via another source, which will be significantly more money, it's just not economically viable. :daisy:
I think we understand that TTR is not for you, it does however suit us, and a lot of others, and putting the fear of god into newbies is not constructive.:daisy:
Have to agree with alot of you... 14 days can be long.. however when we get home we're wishing we were back there. Last year we did 14 at TTR and 5 at the Gov.. or something like that the last few days at the Gov were nice.. but like I said once we got home we were missing TTR
We have only ever done 7 days and normally by the end we are more tired and exhausted when we get home from the constant partying. That is because we go full force for 7 days straight with non-stop partying and no sleep. But having said that....we are doing 10 days for the first time cause I am hoping that I can take rest day in between and not feel like I am missing out on anything like I do if I am there for 7 days.
we stayed at valentin imperial maya 2 years ago for 5 nights and that was not long enough so we are doing 7 nights at Temptation. I booked the earliest flight in the morning that gets me to the airport in Cancun at 11:30 and the latest flight leaving at 4:30 so I didn't lose 2 days.
