Question I have booked 14 nights at TTR but now thinking of having 3 or 4 nights taster at Desire's. I know Desires is a lot more financially but is it worth it or to stay at TTR for our whole holiday ??
14 days at TTR is a challenge. I don't think we can do it again (4 trips, all 14-day stays). We're trying 7 days next trip, and then possibly 10 days (or 7 again) in December. I hear Desire is nice but expensive!
Wake up, party, eat, sleep, repeat...try doing that for 14 days straight! The games get old after around 7 days, the same music every night starts to wear thin around day 10, and the evening entertainment is just a repeat of what happened the week before (7 day rotation). Although I guess it depends what kind of trip you're planning to have. If you take it easy some days or planning any day trips out of the resort, then it wouldn't be so much of a challenge. We don't take it easy. We plan to, but end up staying out at Paty O until 3am every morning then try to do it all again the next day.
Yes we Did 14 nights last year Which was too long. the last 4 days was boring us had to leave resort for day trips. The problem is the group you party with is all gone by the end and new group Comes in and the whole vibe of resort changes as well. This year we are only doing 7 nights.
1st time here so will give a go as already booked.. Planning to do trips to, still wondering if to break it up with 3 or 4 days at Desires ?
I find 10 days for vacation works perfect...its about time when you start feeling home sick but do not want to stop party, we did a combination of Pearl (4 days) and TTR (6 days)...it worked out awesome. :daveandmo:
Is Pearl like TTR with fun and games ? I take it at Pearl the rooms and food are bit more up market ?
Pearl has fun and games but it is very different. TTR is more spring break style games that are silly, sometimes sexy and are more like a show with a bunch of people watching. So think MR and Mrs Temptation contest with sexual positions, dancing, etc. Pearl is less of a show and more based around sport typically... volleyball, corn hole, water basketball, water polo, darts, etc. Sometimes a sexy twist like shooting darts in sexy positions with your significant other. A few people watching but it isn't a show. Both have entertainment shows at night around a theme... lingerie, leather, fire dancing, etc type stuff. But the point around your original question is TTR is more about the party... party during the day, party late night, etc. Pearl although nicer is less about the party. You won't be bored but think socializing in a hot tub last night versus dancing with a bunch of crazy/fun people in PattyO's. Great times but hard to do for 14 nights.
Good thread. we were wondering the same thing. We have stayed at Temptation twice both times for 7 nights. last year when it was time to leave we thought a few more days would be nice so we booked 10 nights this year. We our going this month so we will see if it is to much after 7 nights and then post again.
