Does anyone know which clubs the resort goes to each night of the week? Is it even worth going out to any of the clubs, or will it end up being overcrowded with huge lines to get drinks? How much does a night out roughly cost?
Why would you go off resort into packed night clubs with overpriced drinks when you can stay on resort and drink for free and join in the theme dress evenings and fun at Patyo's ?
Exactly. Don't go waste any money, the club in cancun, during the busy season are way too over crowded. so if it's for dancing you're better to stay at the resort.
TTR is the first place we've stayed that we don't feel like we have to leave the resort at night to party. I'd say wait till you get there but CocoBongo is #1 if you must go out.
We keep trying to get to a club but the resort is WAY too much fun. Big night life at TTR not like a lot of other 'boring' resorts. I don't know pricing but but I've seen pictures of "The City" and it looks like a panic attack and a 1/2 for me LOL Nikki
Actually the best memories I have it's at the resort I can't remember almost anything of coco bongo except it was overcrowded.. Didn't even see the show because I was under the balcony !! If I go will be with the resort and it's about 60-80 $ / person, and you have a ride to go, but too come back you need to take a cab / bus.
In my experience, if you get a group of the TTR people to go out together, the "vibe" sort of sticks IF you go to one of the smaller, non-cavernous clubs. We avoid City and its ilk like the plague. Going tot he smaller, more intimate ones let's you get your groove on, party like a rock star, and still talk to peeps. Senor Frog's, Carlos & Charlie's, like that. There's lots of those. Going by yourself isn't going to be as much fun (I mean by yourself as a couple) as sticking on TTR grounds during the average TTR night vs. the average Club night, IMO. And, TTR is already paid for. Going out is likely to ost at least $25/each.
We love TTR and usually end up going with a group from the resort to a club. Always fun and truthfully I think it is worth it. We usually go to Coco Bongos and then one club. We've to been Daddy O's (our favourite), Senior Frogs (great foam party), Sweet Club (not worth it), the City (crazy big place with a shit ton of people), Mandala (great place) It really is up to you and the mood you are in when you are there. TTR goes to a club every night and you can buy the wrist band from them and go with a group from TTR. That is what we always do. Sometimes we stay late dance and sometimes we head back earlier and join others back at TTR. We have been 5 times to TTR and only on our last trip did we not venture off the resort....but in hindsight, the hubby and I always say that was the only thing missing from our trip. We are going in May and will for sure be going to CoCo Bongo's and another club.
we personally like the smaller clubs in Cancun. The larger ones get so crowded you cant even move or get a drink. There are a bunch of smaller ones in a row that are a lot of fun. I know that the May roll call has a list of the clubs on each day
We went out last year to the nightclub downtown Cancun mostly young kids drinks are very expensive and not good it's fun to go down there and walk around and then go back to the resort just got a remember I'm not 21 anymore I guess I'm now 31 it just wasn't much fun for me ,,just a better crowd at TTR,,,and average price into open bar is 50$ USA plus a big tip if you want waited on
