We went three times this year and was looking to go again in March, but it is almost $450 more per person this time, not sure we will make it in March because of the increase :-(
Having a hard time finding alpharooms cancelation policy in case we find a better rate to rebook. Any experience with this?
Please see posts where people are upset because it's sold out. Obviously, they didn't raise them fast enough.
We booked our room for 2 for April 8-17 on 12/23 with Alph at $213 per night then it went down to $191 per night. Then on 12/26 I got an email from Cheaptickets for 20% off. Got the price down to $156.80 per night, total for 9 night is $1,411.20. :icon_smile: Have not been able to get a response from Alph about cancelling by reservation but I only put down $10.
Off there site Accommodation cancellation charges Booking cancelled more than 7 days before departure - £40 cancellation charge (or the value of the booking if lower). Booking cancelled 7 days or less before departure - 100% of the booking value. Non refundable rooms cancelled will incur a 100% charge. We booked for April 11th - 18th and this is the best price we've ever had $903 per person. We've always paid at least $1150 per person.
I just compared alpha and cheap tickets for 3rd week in April and got $192 for Alpha and $196 for CT. But just booked same room for last week in Feb at $253/night with Alpha quoted $317 by CT. I dont know if difference is due to late booking or demand or a combination. Certainly haven't seen anything in the $150 range for Feb.
We've been keeping an eye on it and we're paying less this year for 8 nights in May then we did last year with flight included. We used orbitz.com
