I've been thinking about a singles trip to TTR in February, and have been pouring over reviews on Tripadvisor, amongst others... I just read a review that gave me pause, however. The reviewer was also at TTR solo and was told at check-in that they'd have to pay double for their All-Inclusive because they were traveling solo. Is this true?? Thanks in advance! :daveandmo:

There are plenty of single repeaters on here who can speak to how they charge for rooms. Take what you read on Trip Advisor with a grain of salt, though...you never quite know what motivates some of the comments on there.
I've got no idea how singles are charged, as I've only gone as a couple...someone who has booked single will chime in. Trip Advisor tends to produce some uninformed reviews in general when it comes to Temptation.
I thought the Premier fees/rates were per room , based on double occ.(135 to 225) Its always more $$ to travel solo, rooms are based on Double occupancy on travel sites. I believe most on here are premier members and not RCI a lot of differences in contracts , you will just have to ask the particular person you book with.
I was going to book through Alpharooms...not sure if I'd have anyone to contact there regarding this issue.
A quick check for March shows 1319 for single /room or 2025 for double for room so that would equate to a 300 or so surcharge or a 300 discount for 2 staying in a room , is how the hotel looks at it
When I put in an inquiry to Alpharooms about the week I want to be there (Feb 15-22) for ONE ADULT I get a rate of $122.03/night for a total of $854.21... I don't mean to sound like an idiot here, but I just don't understand the process...
for example only Room is 100@ night AI fee per person 50@ night room for 1 = 150 room for 2 = 200 going solo does not mean half the price for the package , just for the AI fee AI is your food ,,drinks ect
