Just wondering if anyone else has noticed an increase in prices for all-inclusive rooms at TTR?? We visited at the end of March 2014 and we're looking to visit again in late March 2015 but it seems that it's a lot more expensive... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
depends when and who you book with , we booked April for the same price ( two month ago ),, now its 10% higher
Also booking early helps. See everyone in September for 3 visit. Unless we do a last minute thing like last week which was a little higher but it was worth it see everyone soon
We booked the same time of year... When is the best time to book? We're trying to go for end of March ... What's the best way to book? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From what we noticed, we normally book our trips 90 days in advance and price seems fair. Depending on demand for plane flight or hotel occupancy, they tend to go up till they sell out or you get a last minute deal the last 15 days before departure. We noticed last minute deals are equivalent to our 90day and sometime slighty higher.
We always book with Expedia or Orbitz...and pay the same or a little less each year. Our first trip was in 2006, and paid more for that trip than any since then, so never get it when people complain about price increases. I spend a lot of time comparing different travel sites, dates and airports to fly from before I pull the trigger. If you just go to TTR's site and book your days without doing any homework, you may pay more than you need to. We also normally book four to six months before the trip, which helps in finding good nonstop flights at a good price.
It helps to know roughly what a good price is, and when you see a great deal, jump on it. Look at all the different sites; compare package deals (airfare and hotel) and also price them separately. Try flying from different airports. Prices change almost constantly. Obviously, with the price of oil down, airfare deals are a good possibility. But bottom line, keep looking at it from every angle and website, get familiar with pricing (TTR varies price by season). Then you'll know a great deal when you see one, and get right on it.
A month ago Alpharooms had April 2015 for $153 a night. I just booked on Cheaptickets for $156 a night..... not sure that's too much of a price change. Considering that this price per night (room only) includes the food and beverages, it is a better deal than any rooms I've booked in the USA in years.
I got alpharooms for about $150 a night - but I went on a few hours later and it was $200 a night. Next day - back to $150. Always put down the $10 and then keep checking until pay time!
